February Review, Reads, and Marching Forward

HELLO!! Lots has happened in the past few months since I first updates here! Firstly, I just came from attending Citrus Con, which is an 18+ BL/Yaoi queer convention.

It’s entirely online and on Discord. It celebrates all types of queer media, with BL being the focus. I’ve attended prior years but this time tried my hand at applying for this year as an artist and got a both! It was a lot of fun. I have always had a blast with the panels and guests, and really being able to have spaces like these are important. Me and my partner, UnderRhaps, have debuted 2 things there that I’m excited to share with you!!

I’d like to direct you to our Itch.io shop, where I debuted my first short story erotica MidHeaven and my partner debuted his first 18+ comic, Teacher’s Pet! It was a treat to help work on it, and I highly recommend you give it a read if you like yaoi. Rhaps is a pro. Dead Time by Beefsen

My comics Bestie, Beefsen of Uneven Keel has released a new comic in February called Dead Time! it’s a standalone horror comic which follows Patrick in his search for an old artifact. Despite evidence suggesting a dead end, he pushes on…because, well…He’s gotten so far in his research already. Why stop now?

Dead Time really digs in to the subject of sunk-cost fallacy, feeling trapped in one’s decisions and the sense of isolation.

The weight of the moments in this comic are exquisite. You can really feel the walls closing in on you when you read it. It’s wonderful it’s got punch and it stayed with me for some time after reading. I hope you enjoy it, too!

Brood by Boneyhag

Since this update seems to be BL themed, I’m going to give my buddy Boneyhag‘s comic Brood a shoutout! It’s a M/M fantasy tentacle sex comic! It’s a spin off comic of her main comic, Great Divide (ALSO a good read if you like slow burn/pining).

I read this one a while back, and loved every page. Boney is so great with the mood, and the intensity of the passion Dav and Rael have for each other. Even when there’s a giant tentacle beast involved!

There’s lots of Oviposition and tentacle, and it’s a very good time with Dav and Rael. Boney just finished her campaign for a print run of Brood as well and made well over goal! Congrats, Boney!!

March Plans

So I made a cute lil’ calendar. I don’t *exactly* know how effective it will be, but I know it will hold me accountable. I posted this to the public over on Patreon and a few people have at least seen it, so we’ll see how well I do! I tried not to give myself too much on my plate, but I like to have a monthly visual of what I have going.

Once a week over on Patreon, I’ll be doing Obsidian’s Blessing update logs- Since part 2 is exclusively going to Patrons as I make the pages, I want to make sure I’m keeping them up to date. I also released what I am calling “Sacred Texts” or “Obsidian’s Archive”.

MOST of these will be kept exclusive as well. It will explore the lore of the Temple of Hidden Light, where Obsidian’s takes place. It will also have personal journal entries from the characters, rites, sacred texts and practices. I’ll only do these twice a month, I think! Hopefully I can build them up into something cohesive I can distribute, like a sizeable volume’s worth. I wanted to also do digital sketchbooks, but I don’t want to overwork myself.

Once a month, every second Sunday, I also host a Patrons only stream over on my discord as well, where I worn on OB 2 and talk about some deeper lore. We have a lot of fun there! Also if I can make 1 painting a month, that’d be awesome. I want to improve on those skills, too!
